Create ghost effects! In this Boris FX project-based tutorial, Mary Poplin uses the Mocha Pro plug-in for After Effects to remove an actress from the foreground shot and then uses Particle Illusion to generate wispy, smoke elements.
Mocha Pro is used to planar track the background. The Remove Module is used to link to a “clean plate” that was painted in Photoshop and remove the actress from the background. (no clean plates were originally shot).
Continuum Particle Illusion’s fast and easy particle system used to generate wispy, vapors and combined with Sapphire Glow to produce a transparent ghost effect.
