Hornet NYC approached Milford to help out with this epic piece, directed by Yves Geleyn. The film Planimation tells an intricate story about how small accidents can have huge consequences, drawing a parallel to cosmic events and cancer treatment in a uniquely original way. Milford helped out with the cgi production, modelling, previz, animation and lighting of 3d objects to nail the mix of 3D and 2D that the director had envisioned.
“With the benefit of real lighting from the CG, rich matte paintings, and painted textures throughout, we were able to marry these techniques together in an elegant way to create a rich and unique world.” says Yves.
